Lime Kiln Point State Park is home to one of the two lighthouses on San Juan Island (the other one being Cattle Point lighthouse). There is a trail leading to historic lime kiln, but most people just make a quick stop here for the views.

The lighthouse stands on the rocky outcropping right off the parking.

Part of the trail goes along the shore – you can stretch your legs or sit at the picnic table enjoying the views.

The park is also a famous whale watching spot. I wasn’t lucky, but I probably didn’t wait long enough 🙂

Discovery Pass is required for Lime Kiln Point State Park.
