This small but lovely park is located off route 20 half way between Mount Vernon and Anacortes, on the shores of Padilla Bay. It’s just a stretch of coastline with picnic area, but it offers fantastic views. I always make a stop here when I find myself in the area, on the way to Deception Pass or when doing the Chuckanut drive – to take in the vastness of the bay, explore the beach at low tide, view the birds if I’m lucky. This place never disappoints.
It’s 1.5 hour drive from Seattle.
