Lake Union Park is a very nice waterfront park in South Lake Union neighborhood. It consists mostly of an open space with lawns and walkways, offering views across the lake. There’s a marina with yachts and sailing boats, a large building of former Naval Reserve Armory now housing a history museum, and a dockyard with historic ships.
The weather was beautiful at the time of my visit, so I didn’t go inside the museum (a rainy day will do for that), and just strolled along the waterfront, taking in the views and watching seaplanes take off and land on water. Then a sailing boat came out – and my day was perfect.
I’ll be coming here again.
