This pretty seaside park is situated along the scenic Chuckanut drive, closer to Bellingham. It offers perfect views of Samish bay that can be enjoyed from the beach or from one of several rock top overlooks accessible by short walks. I stopped here when doing the drive from Bellingham to Seattle; it happened to be the Memorial Day and the weather was beautiful so there were quite some people in the park, enjoying their picnics, boating or just taking in the scenery before continuing up or down the Chuckanut drive, like myself.
There’s also a campground at Larrabee State Park and some hiking trails leading from the beach inland. Most people just explore the seaside area. As with all Washington state parks, Discover pass is required.
