Cattle Point is a scenic area at the southeastern tip of San Juan Island, at the end of Cattle Point road and just a short drive from American Camp. The road itself is very picturesque – make sure to stop at pullouts to take in the views. Wildlife is also present – I once saw a very cute little fox here that didn’t mind me coming up close and taking a few pictures.
I visited the area as part of my 4 days 3 nights San Juan Islands trip.
Parking at the interpretive area requires Discovery Pass. Here you can enjoy beautiful views of the narrow straits, rocky coves and the tiny Goose Island full of birds. The Cattle Point Lighthouse is a short walk up the road.
